Eleven

Flying back this evening from Toulouse via Brussels. As expected, there has been no time to experience the vibrant cultural heritage of these two great cities other than at the airport duty-free shops. Toulouse has a nice range of violet gifts. Either they grow the stuff there or they are just excessively fond of the colour. Brussels has its chocolate. And possibly beer.

I hate to reduce things to clichéd stereotypes, but I can only go by what is on display. Clearly, this kind of stuff sells. It is no better at Manchester Airport, where they seem to do a roaring trade in souvenirs of London.
